Jim,
Humidity can be bad at both ends of the spectrum. Too low and you can have
ESD problems, too high and solderability issues, process control and tool
corrosion come to mind.
We try to keep our facility between 30% and 70% RH. If it goes below 30 we
take extra precautions with all ESD sensitive items.
Refer to ANSI/JSD-001B Paragraph 3.7 for guidance.
