Get the artwork from IPC, but get the panels from your production supplier
using production processes. Add tooling holes on the connector edge (above
the coated area) for fixturing during coating.

Run it through the wave solder, reflow oven (with paste)....to simulate
production operations.

Then test the panels. SIR testing and thermal cycling are recommended.

The production PCB supplier's process and cleaning is critical for adhesion
and coverage. Do not ignore it with off the shelf test panels. In a no-clean
process, a supplier with a bad cleaner can reduce adhesion 90%. In a new
process, you may have other problems without working with the supplier up
front.
