Recently, the flux we are currently using (Lonco Organo-Flux 3355 Highly active
halide containing water soluble flux) had very low readings on density. (0.845
@ 13C). It was stored in an outside chemical room, roof covered but the door is
chai link fence and about 10 ft wide. The temperature got down to +20 F
overnight, and I am wondering if it would be possible to have the flux and the
thinner separate at this low temperature, with the thinner floating to the top
of the container and the flux depositing in the bottom of the barrel.
Are there any special guidelines I should follow for storage of the flux? (Any
type, not just this specific one)
As continued to use this flux, the readings have gone back to normal, and never
saw any soldering issues related to flux problems. Any and all answers
appreciated.
