Susan , no idea about the standard (if it exists for specific
qty/length/gauge/etc.) ;
scribbling because on the same subject I flew blind to parallel problem :
Just by hooking couple of jumpers on (pending the route also);
you can change EMI signature to the point of throwing you out of window from
previously approved limits.
'm sure you know, just sometimes we miss the consequences by concentrating
on action alone (i do)

PS

Forgot the interesting part ; you know how we got that couple of opens ?
Upon transfer of files on protel from one rev. to other,
just on trivial administrative change ; it reconfigured polygons and
"deleted" couple of tracks.
(yes , we didn't know such glitches are possible as than)
Poor chap considering the theoretical non change did not engage any
comparators to back check;
order went through, boards arrived > hard stop flat on vertical wall !

Cad folks, insights appreciated, thanks

Subject: [TN] assembly-jumper wires

Hi All
Is there a document that addresses the number of jumper wires that can be
used
on an assembly that are not a part of the original design. You know the
kind
that
are put on to solve "open" problems. Geeeesh!
