There will not be any reliability problems in Your case since the lenght of
the pressfit connection of the pin is shorter than full lenght of the pin,

Hi All,

I have a query with a Pressfit connector and a backplane. The only suitable
connector available has pins of 4mm in length and the backplane is 4.2mm
thick. Obviously the pins do not protrude through the PCB, will this cause
any problems with reliability, strength etc?
