Graham,

Distilliing water is a method of dionizing water.  So "distilled water" is DI
water.  In the conventional resin-bed DI process it depends on how and what
you use for resin beds in order to get near-distilled water purity, which is
usually the purist.  It usually contains only some carbon dioxide and oxygen
unless you are near a whisky factory and it may pick up some ethanol.   The
distilling method requires more energy and is usually somewhat limited in
flow rates unless you get a very large unit; therefore, more costly
