Morning Nancy,

Your theory is correct. I don't know whose equipment you have, but they
should be able to provide you with a design guideline which should spell out
the specifications. We made our specifications reflect what the equipment
manufacturer called for.

This gives us the best possible situation. With holes being per the
manufacturers specifications, we can expect to put the lead in the holes,
and have good solder joints that will hold.

Now, having said that, on the radial machine you need to be careful of the
rectangle leads. Our specifications call for the lead to be measured on the
diagonal, and then add the .014". We have had nothing but success following
the mfgrs specs.
