Mike -

One last item I forgot to include in the earlier transmissions: Fungicides,
when used, are inserted in the resin systems by the formulator of the resin.
This is true not only as pertains to the laminates industry, but also of
adhesives, potting compounds etc. I've had the opportunity to do a lot of
work with these types materials over the years and have learned that not
only the military has concerns about non-nutrient materials. Most products
intended for exterior or severe environment serivice are so treated if they
are not naturally resistant.

This will include most of the stuff used in your washing machine,
refrigerator, automobile, etc. Quite often, this information will escape
mention in the resin systems engineering data sheet, but a contact within
the formulators applications engineeriing staff can generally confirm or
deny the presence of a fungicide in the material.

Regards - Kelly
