Hello (again!),

I have just returned from a "field trip", in which CASTIN (Sn/Ag/Cu/Sb)
solder paste (made with some of our current no clean flux formulations) was
reflowed and then put through various cleaning tests. The results: in
nearly every case, the CASTIN paste cleaned as well as tin/lead paste had
cleaned during previous experimentations. There were some minor exceptions,
but a slight adjustment to the cleaning equipment settings and/or the
concentration of the cleaners used resolved these issues completely. I
cannot speak for other solder vendors, but I assume that their results would
be very similar with the same or similar alloys.

(And sorry for using the term "CASTIN"- but what can I say, that's what was
tested)

Best regards,

David
