I have had a very similar experience.  It turned out that the part was
sitting in such a position to exactly fit inside the mesh of the conveyor
(randomly), and when the high pressure spray hit the board and rotated it
just a little - POP!  We went to a different mesh size in the conveyor  -
larger so that the small parts did not fit tightly - and it was solved.
