Well I was gonna say that they didn't know what year it was in the Christian era round
then cos it wasn't till years later that some cleric or other worked out what year it was
AD and then counted back. He either had a keen sense of humour or was drunk at the time -
why else would he leave out the 0 and get it wrong by 3 years or was it 4 or 5? Surely it
wasn't so we could all - 2000 years later have lengthy and meaningless debates down the
pub about when the 3rd millenium starts i.e. 2000 or 2001? (What I really want to know
is who decided and when, that Millenium was to have two n's).
I will say that whereas I do always look forward to rolling through the Technet posts,
there are some people I particularly look forward to reading: some for the power of
insight provided, some for pure knowledge and experience, others which match the ancient
oracles for the effort required to extract their pearls of wisdom, and some like Ingemar's
for all these things and their added exxxuuubbberance.
Have a wonderful holiday everybody.
