The only time I have seen this in our inline cleaner was when the surface mount
part was not completely soldered. The water could blow under the unsoldered side
and peel the part off taking pads from the soldered leads. If it is indeed from
the conveyor I would suggest something like edge protectors that slide onto the
edge of the board and hold it up off the conveyor. Our volume is low, so we just
made baskets from 1/4" hardware cloth.
