To all,
     You can do a quick check on bar solder to see what kind of dross it will
produce as compared to what you're using.  Melt a small amount of solder in a
beaker and while it's melted let it set exposed to air, you will see the
oxidation buildup on the surface.  I didn't think it would be all that
noticeable until I did the test myself with my bar solder Vs another.
     In some cases dross inhibitors are added during the manufacturing
process, we do that and cast the bar in nitrogen gas as well, both reduce
dross in the end.
