Hello All!

I am the Human Resources Manager at Proto Engineering, located in Silicon
Valley. We are currently recruiting for a Sales Support/New Products
Engineer.

Proto Engineering is a quick turn facility, shipping around 1.5MM per month
with only 115 employees. We are efficient, fast, profitable, and have a
reputation as a quality shop. We are more automated and larger than most
people think. Current capacity (with additional bodies) is closer to 2.5MM
per month.

The current position we are trying to fill has two separate aspects. The
first is supporting our sales staff by:
Communicating our technical capabilities and competence to the
        customer
Visiting customer sites with our salespeople
Aiding the customer with their choices of materials, finishes,
        processes, etc.
Bringing in new processes and technologies to meet customer needs

Due to the small size of our sales department, we feel that the
sales-support function will consume less than 10 hours per week on average.
The successful candidate should be technically competent, well read,
out-going with a positive attitude, and able to contribute to the order
acquisition process.

The second aspect of this position is to enhance our ability to produce
cutting-edge products. We are looking for an engineer who desires to
successfully develop and implement new technologies and processes. The
candidate should be familiar with current leading-edge processes,
experienced at introducing new products and processes into a manufacturing
environment, able to document processes and train production personnel, and
be proficient in DOE and SPC.

This is a new position for our company, not a replacement for an existing
vacancy. Therefore, we have identified a list of immediate projects to set a
proper foundation for future efforts:
Develop and publish our Technology Road Map
Improve and document our Buried Vias process
Improve the documentation of our Blind Vias process
Develop and document the Micro Vias process
Acquire and implement the Buried Capacitance process
Qualify additional laminate types for production

If any of you know of a qualified individual who might be interested in this
position, please contact me privately by e-mail.

Thanks for your time.

Michele Turnham
Human Resources Manager
