I can't come up with the name right now, but I remember seeing an info card
(you know, the ones you get a whole deck of from manufacturers) from a place
that makes a "micro sandblaster"  it looks much like an air brush of sorts,
only you place a special abrasive in the thing instead of paint.  If I
remember right, they claimed it could be used for just what you are wanting
to do, as well as cleaning, mask removal etc.  If I can come up with the
name, I'll pass it on, that is if you are interested.
