Hey group - it's kinda strange this "pulse" just crept up out of nowhere.
Last year approximately the same time frame - it came up too. Well - last
year i got several inquiries about this issue - sent some mail back - sent
out sections - especially on blind vias - 4mil diameter - spoke with people
out in Israel - down in Florida - there seemed to have been a significant
ineterest on the subject.

evidently when asked - i gave everyone a time and date that I would be
willing to go over all my data - compiled over a two year period - both on
automatic and manual lines - but when i arrived in Anaheim for Nepcon - only
a handfull of people showed up.

I have read everything that posted - a lot of it is theoretical - i would be
very interested in knowing the difference between a (for argument sake)
straight or normal pulse wave - and a comlex wave form - and how the cwf-pp -
would differ in depositing copper.

Let's just say - that in production runs - both manual and automatic plating
- I have processed almost any kind of board available to us at the present
time. What I can say for the process is that:

1- it's good - but it will differ significantly from shop to shop - for
almost a thousand reasons

2- i do believe the chemistry has a lot to do with it - i have worked with 2
different suppliers - and yes - in the long run there is a significant
difference

3- board configuration - surface configuration - connection - the whole
geophysical set up of the galvanic theory is very dependant on a majority of
issues.

So yes - u are all right in your responses - and then at the same time - i do
not believe that a set-up in one board house will be exactly the same at
anothers. Along with taking care of the physical and electrical set-up, now
arise questions such as - how well can the board house control their
chemistry? No one has asked the effects of introduced organics into the
system. We can go on and on and on.

But - it is interesting to listen to.

what a way start the week after a 2 day shut down - huh? hope everyone had a
nice thanx giving - and if you have any questions - my line is always open.
