Having had some experience with AOI equipment as you know, my recommendation
for you would be a Barco reflective system. We have found this system to be
helpful when inspecting the many flavors of double treat on a variety of
materials including CE. If you were in a higher volume business,
particularly on the high end of technology in volume, I would suggest the
laser technologies ( fluorescence)

        Hi Frank,

Interestingly I do not recall discussing filters. I do know there
are
diffusion filters on the units we have. I presumed that all options
have
been explored since we have had the Equipment Manufacturer out to
evaluate
this concern several times. The conclusion has been reached the
equipment
is not designed to handle double treat copper laminates and has
limitations
with regard to line tops less than 3 mils.

They are recommending we trade in our existing system and purchase
one of
their laser units. Being that I have been in the business long
enough to
understand that an equipment salesman's job it to sell equipment, I
always
like to explore my options before I decide to spend money. This
supplier
has always treated us fairly and I really have no reason dispute the
recommendations. However, I never lose sight of the fact that part
of what
I'm paid to do is to make decisions which insure profitability.
Therefore,
I must always explore options that may potentially be more
economical and
        still produce the desired results.
