It is not too unusual of a question.

We use a lot of C and Ku band waveguide. Most of our assemblies fit
nice and tight and we have been able to eliminate conductive gaskets
and use cheap silicone rings to keep out the moisture. The one
situation I know we have to use conductive gaskets is for a WRD580
flange. We buy the gasket from a company called Microwave Resources,
our cost is under $10. Another is SAS Industries.

     Good luck.

Hi, an unusual question, but I see many radar guys are reading also in TechNet.
So, what sealing gaskets do you use for flange-to-flange sealing, electrically
as well as gas tightening? We tried Indium, works well, but the price is
immense. If the waveguide is ordinary Al with Nickel+Chromate, then what about
Tin gaskets? Atmosphere around is dry and you have that Nickel barrier. Copper
seems to be too hard. Any good idea?
