Hi!
There are many problems with thermal mismatch and mechanical handling , as
all our friends have mentioned. The first nono I know, if you dare to ignore
them, is -don't put the large ones through wave soldering. Most chip
capacitor manufacturers give charts in their catalogs , in which you can see
if your choice of capacitor is good according to your process. They give you
also reflow profiles , pad size, a.s.o.
I don't want to play the all knowing person to you. We had the same problems
and changed component size, designs, handling procedures.
