Hi Bob & All -

Enjoyed your message about the DIP forms for SMT - Alan K., who you will
remember, and I had a bunch of discussions about this type &*#@+% in a
couple of your previous employers proto designs. I'm not sure what opinions
Werner would have about this, but it sure bothered me at the time. When we
tried them. we couldn't keep them from skidding all over the place.
('Course I can't remember what we were using for stencils or pad pattern,
but we had one of the big dual batch vapor phases that would heat the boat
anchors of that day and age design.) We were placing those suckers with an
Adept robot, before chip bond adhesive had ever been dreamed up - rough!!

By the way, do you ever run across Alan K.? I know he retired a number of
years back. Pass my Email address to him if you can.

Regards -- Kelly
