     Steve, Graham,
Thanx for the reply! We have looked at Wand, and we want to compare
them to a programmable system that punches individual tabs, as opposed
to the one big KER-CHUNK of a Wand system. The programmable punch
method may have some bennies for us.
Any additional inputs on the programmable punch type of system???

Steve, Jeff
The wand machines work great, they are quick and very repeatable over
thousands of CCAs. Not programmable, you need a die specific to the CCA.
Two things though:

1) don't make the panelization symmetrical unless it actually works if you
put a CCA in upside down (lost some product that way, the "new operator"
blues...)

2) the thing makes a heavy "thump" when it depanels the CCAs, so don't put
it next to anything vibration sensitive such as your p&p machines...

When I was slavin' at Celestica a couple of my products were put through
one...

good luck!

can you please pass along the manufacturer, contact name and an
opinion of the machine(s)?? I will be forever greatful! Thanx!

Hi Jeff!

I never used this, but have seen it at NEPCON and other shows quite a few
times. Go to: http://www.wandtool.com/singulation.html

Seems like a decent system. You do have to follow some design guidelines in
your panelization layout though...but that's no different than with any
other
machine.
