Carey,
CCGA is a Ceramic Column Grid Array and its big. The ones we have
played with were very heavy(around 40 grams), with long thick "90/10
wires" instead of eutectic balls. The columns are easily bent and
coplanarity is a problem. We used a lot of paste to compensate(0.008"
thick). Although we have shown that we can assemble these monsters, I
hope we never need to.

Earl,
What's going on with you micro stencil process? We managed to get a
decent print for both the CCGA and microBGA with the micro stencil. I
shouldn't include me in that "we" because I always smear the paste on
release, but some of our rework operators are pretty incredible.

                        Thanks
