Hey all

If I understand things correctly, most (if not all) of the MIL-STDs have been cancelled and replaced with ANSI/IPC documents. We keep getting MIL-STDs sneaking into new contracts (mostly 'cause they use an old one as a template for the new one) and this is seriously hindering our efforts to move everything to IPC/J-STD. Before we can argue that the references should be eliminated, it would be nice to have some ammo/shielding against the "that's the way its always been" crowd. To that end, does anyone have or know of the existence of some sort of matrix which cross-references all of the old MILs with the new IPCs?

Another question shouted to me from the Bossman:Does anyone know where to find an industry wide commodity code list?

Thank you,
