Nope, your not the only one.
I too get many phone calls etc from people that I have never heard off,
wanting business from me
after picking up my name etc from the TechNet.

Sometimes its useful sometimes its a drag. But you get used to it, the
benefits of the TechNet far outweigh
the little annoying problems, even direct sales pitches can be ignored,
after all they're only text messages.
