Jim, 
do you have components on the side that needs to have the solder mask added to it? Can your components withstand 300*F for one hour required to cure the mask? If not, you may want to consider a UV cureable solder mask for this rework. If you have no components on the side that needs the rework, you might be able to make a small fixture and screen it on, all you would need to do would be to insure that the assembly is stable before screening. Otherwise, do you have anyone there with a steady hand??
