Dear colleague,

The IPC Level of Awareness Questionnaire has now been completed by 253 of your
colleagues. Two interesting pieces of data that come from this survey deal with the
industry's awareness and whether or not companies researched alternatives following
the Reid Bill.

According to the survey, 98% recognize lead free as an issue, but only 20% of those
who responded indicated that their companies researched alternatives following the
Reid Bill in 1991.

Current statistics from the questionnaire can be found at:

http://www.ipc.org/cgi-bin/lfqstats.pl

If you have not yet completed the questionnaire, go to:

http://www.ipc.org/html/lfquestionnaire.htm

Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions or concerns.

Best-

Chris Jorgensen
