Hi Everyone,

We are in the process of bettering our part numbering system. I was wanting
to know how everyone out there handles their numbering and description
fields. Example: part number CRCW0805102JRT1 would equal - 0805, 1Kohm,
5%, paper tape. I believe the manufacturers number should be used for the
part number, but how do we describe this so that anyone can find this part
if they are needing a 0805, 1K, 5% resistor? Just wanting to see how
everyone does this with any of their parts. Do you use the manufactures
part number or create your own? How do you describe you part for ease of
retrieval? Any response would be greatly appreciated!
