Hi Ken,

Although sodium hypophosphite is the reducer in the electroless nickel bath
and the source of phosphorus in the EN deposit, there are other parameters
(pH is one of the most important ones -- as Rudy noted) that will influence
%P in your nickel.  In other words, the fact that hypophosphite
concentration in the bath is at 30 g/L is no guarantee that your P is at 6
-- 8%.  Your fab house should be able to control %P by keeping all the EN
operating parameters within the EN supplier's spec.

Can someone tell me about the phosphorus content in Nickel bath. I have
heard that keep it between 6-8% but when I contected my fab house he was
not
aware of the % but rather he showed me 30 gram per liter sodium
Hypophosphite requirement.

Can anybody clear the air?
