Many of these cleaning issues will vary with the sort of surface finish on
the pads.

Typically, Electroless Nickle Gold will get only a water rinse, whereas Hot
Air Leveled boards often get a thorough alkali cleaning.

So to get good answers, you must specify what your surface finish is.
