Ball Grid Array.
A high density packaging method, using preformed solder balls to provide
the interconnect.
They pose their own routing problems and require x-ray equipment to inspect
their soldering, but they provide a lot of connections per square inch.
There are also uBGA (micro Ball Grid Array) - even finer pitch.
