Just a suggestion...

If the changes are minor, and you only have Gerber data available ,you
might be able to get those changes
done to the Gerber only, without the need to go through the process of
converting it to CAD data, modifying it
and converting it back to Gerber data.

I have managed to do this before using CAM350 in its shareware mode
(although it was only a smallish board).
If this is the case, then obtaining a demo CD or downloading it from the
website may be a good idea.
When I last used it, you could import Gerber files in, providing the
filesize did not exceed a certain amount while
it was in its shareware/demo mode. I seem to remember that now you get
full capability but only for a limited time.
