Graham,
Aquanox XJN works on solvency versus saponification.

As all process are different, therfor the wide range in concentration as later mentioned by Hans.
Flux loading characteristics are superior to other chemistries. So, you are able to still use the same bath for extended periods, Months in some cases before having to dump, ($$$ saved)

The issue with the solder mask is at hand here. Multiple cycles with high pressures and even alkaline cleaners (saponifiers) can possibly cause these problems and other nasty thing to rear their ugly head. Dulling of solder joints is another.
XJN was formulated to overcome this and to provide a wide range of chemical compatability.
This chemistry is in use succesfully at many aerospace and military applications with no detrimental effect what so ever.
The bottom of Steve's message hit the nail on the head!
Any questions about this, please contact me off-line. Thanks

Steve,

30% concentration of Kyzen? Is this stuff pre-diluted?

It is my experience that good cleaning will result at concentrations of less
than 10%. Most folks I know would prefer to run at less than 5%, 'cos it
costs less - but 30%??

Please enlighten me or have I missed the plot.....

Regards,
Graham Naisbitt
