O.K. Steve,

I hereby claim my 'Albert-of-the-Year' award for services to
retrieval of useless information.

I believe D-PAK stands for Deca-Watt Package - unless anyone
suggests better.

Here's a website that seems so decribe every packaging acronym
under the Sun.

Happy huntin'

Nah...it ain't that. D-Pak packaging is usually used in power transistors
that looks like a TO-220 that's had it's legs chopped-off and formed into a
gull-wing shape:
              ____________
 _______| |\
|_______| | |
           _| | |
          |_| | | TOP VIEW
 _______| | |
|_______| | |
             | ___________|/

                 ____________
      ______| |
     | ____| | SIDE VIEW
___| | |___________|__
|_____| |_____________|

Kinda' crude I know, but what can expect from ASCII Cad? hehehe...

So all you Einstein's out there, what duz "D-Pak" stand for?
