Hi Tom,
I have used Philips Emerald series for this purpose to full satisfaction.
(no problems at all!!) Regarding Fuji CP6 or any other turret head machine
for that instance (Panasert/Sanyo/Universal/TDK....) they CANNOT place
0402. If you believe me and the reports in the industry they cannot even
place 0603 with good confidence level. Reason--very simple. The centrifugal
force throws the component before placing it on the PCB. I know users on
Fuji in Singapore who have experience this problem.
In case you need any more info pls. write back

Hi all,
I need to place 0402 components. A lot of them. Any Zevatech 750/760
and/or Philips Gem line(Topaz/Emerald) users out there with the experience
in placing 0402 comps? How is Fuji CP6 in pickNplace of 0402s?
Also, in component recognition, what is considered to be better, laser or
line array camera?
Thanks
Tom
