I'm not 100% sure, but I would take a guess that the IPC specification
you are after is actually SM-840, which are the standard solder mask
specifications. For the newest version (SM-840C) there are two classes: T
(telecoms) and H (high reliability/ military). You will need to find what
level of performance is expected for your boards so that they can be tested
accordingly.
