Is it really necessary to translate 160F into exactly 71C? Temperature will
have a range (+/- 5C in most cases) so 70C should not be any different. You
may need to stay within a half of a unit when specifying a shoe size or
similar situations. I recently saw a book which gave the diameter of the
earth in X000 meters but translated it to exact number of feet to the last
digit. I have seen the same manner of translation in many standards where
many times it is not necessary to be that precise.

I lot of these "strange" Celsius temperatures come from the conversion from
Fahrenheit.  In my business, we produce ground mobile shelterized equipment
with requirements of operating at +120F (+48.9C) and storage at +160F
(+71.1C).  On the low side we have requirements like -50F operating (-45.6C)
and -65F storage (-53.9C).
