I lot of these "strange" Celsius temperatures come from the conversion from Fahrenheit. In my business, we produce ground mobile shelterized equipment with requirements of operating at +120F (+48.9C) and storage at +160F (+71.1C). On the low side we have requirements like -50F operating (-45.6C) and -65F storage (-53.9C).
