Hi Werner,
Your response feels awfully familiar, some of it could have come from here.
But the result of you answering questions from unfamiliar persons means that
I would be willing to ask you a serious significant question which I
probably would not ask your detractors. Please keep the answers coming, so I
can keep learning. Thank you very much.

Ahne.
Once more or less retired too.

PS: Companies that want to earn the Baldridge Award (I don't know if it is
still given) would have to issue free advice like that to show that they are
helping the industry move forward!!

Hi Mike,
Am I selling something? Well, I guess every time a put my name under a
posting it keeps my name current. So I guess I do in that sense. But, what I
am trying to do is give back to the industry, that has been pretty good to
me
for over 30 years. Right now I sure don't need more business, I am as much
loaded up until the end of the year as I would like to be; I like to play
golf 3 times a week and have to keep up with the industry and literature;
after all, as my wife keeps reminding me, I am retired (sort of). However,
when people need more substantial help it might reduce the search process.
Do you really think giving advice away for free is good business. My wife
thinks I am crazy to do it; and after having gone through some 150 e-mails
today, I can't really tell her that she is wrong [some of you may agree with
her anyway]. But if it were that good a selling tool, where are the other
consultants?
Werner
