Hello,

We use a chemical called Humiseal 1030 to remove conformal coating. It works well for us on any type of boards.

Subject: [TN] Acrylic Conformal Remover which doesn't touch Epoxy? -
Does it e xist

Hey Everybody,

I'm looking for an acrylic conformal coating remover which won't touch
epoxy.

I tried Kyzen's Conformox AU and it changed the physical appearance of the
epoxy - dulled it.
I should run a hardness test but I think it softened it too.

The current plan uses Trans LC and that leaves a hazy residue.
This residue does come off when I run it through our Aqueous Cleaner or get
the q-tips out but . . .
an extended soak in Trans LC will soften the epoxy too, so I'm highly
motivated to find an alternative.

I'm not familiar enough with the properties of acrylic and epoxy to know
whether I'm trying to defy physics (yet!).
Somebody out there in cyberland must have faced this opportunity already.

Hans
