Hi Steve,

You'll get no flaming from me - you hit it right on the head and I can't agree
with you more. There are so many different "wrinkles" in this business that
nobody knows it all, and there's always more to learn. This forum is excellent
for that. I'm a PCB designer and have been for a long time, and I pick up more
tips from this forum daily than I do from the jobs that I do or from any other
source.

May the force be with everyone to contribute to the greater good !!

Cheers

(Preparing soap-box...'scuse me...)

'Kay...here I am again, climbing up on the ol' soapbox...

My math is better now, and the last time I checked, there's 1,657 of us. I
figure with that many of us, there should be a lot more input than what I see
there is...(right?)

Are we all that secretive? I think we all understand proprietary information,
but a lot of the information that I've seen asked about things isn't "top
secret". I thought that this list was to help each other concerning our
industry. Many of us don't have the expertise in certain facets about things
that many of the rest of you do. I see many responses from Paul, Graham,
Joyce, Hans, Kelly, Rudy, and even Werner (who makes his living consulting!)
than I see from the other 1,500 or so members of this list...(my math is
getting better, huh? hehehe...)

I think all of us who are NET literate, know about "Lurking"...and I see a
lot of that going on in this list. The more input there is from everybody,
the more valuable it is to all of us. All I'm saying, is participate! No
matter how much you might think your opinion is not relevant, it is! Heck,
you might even learn something! After all, we're all in this together! Ain't
we?

You don't have to give away any "secrets" (we'll all find out about them
eventually anyway, that's the way things work, right?) but just participate!
PLEASE!

(I'm offa' my soapbox now and ready for the flames...)
