Recently a news item appeared in a local newspaper on the merits of cooking
fish in the dishwasher. One option was to cook the fish while the dishwasher
was loaded with dirty dishes and DETERGENT. They did mention the possibility
of using certain plastic wrap. Remember that recently there was discussion
in this forum that no plastic is hermetic. Can we ignore the possibility
that the detergent will infuse into the fish and may not completely drain in
subsequent rinse cycle? Should we not be apprehensive of volatiles from
previous reflow cycles settling on the food we heat through our production
reflow ovens (or vice versa)?
