Hi ya'll!

Over the past few days, the list has received a few messages from so-called
TechNet list members with "Hotmail" email addresses...most have been rather
rude and abusive. While I'm not one to suggest restricting anybody's first
amendment rights, I will say that the "Hotmail" email accounts are a means of
disguising one's true identity...they're free, and anyone can get one.

As some of you may have noticed, the senders of these messages have been very
negative and personal, basically not contributing anything but
criticisms...that's why (I think) it's only the "Hotmail" accounts.

What I am suggesting, is that anyone that has internet access these days,
will have an email account provided to them through their Internet provider.
But those that don't want their identity known, will then go and get a
"Hotmail" account so they can post whatever they want, to whatever list they
want and not risk being found out who they really are. In my mind, they're
hiding behind a digital screen, only because they don't want to truely face
the sort of feedback that will result from their posts...they're just trying
to be disruptive because they know they can.

What I'm suggesting, is that "Hotmail" addresses and other anonymous types of
email addresses be banned from the list...I know that's pretty radical, but
it seems some children have found out that they can get these accounts and
post whatever they want to the list, and don't have the sort of integrity
that most of us exhibit. Maybe I'm just venting now...I know what I'm
suggesting isn't possible...

Anyways, I'm going to ignore any messages that I see has a "Hotmail"
address...there won't be any information that will be of any benefit to me
anyway (from what I've read so far)...that's probably the best thing for me
to do...I won't get as spooled up as I am now either.

We all learn eventually, who the true "Technetters' are...just need to
separate the wheat from the chaff...
