Hello all,

After doing a surface review of the below listed web site and its contents,
I am very pleased to see some documentation that (1) is coming from a
component manufacturer as well as (2) an indication that significant work
has been accomplished having started some time ago.

I am not sure how the rest of you feel, but more information along this line
could be really helpful for those of us who do not live in the fast lane of
the industry, nor have a budget to perform tests. I feel like a sponge right
now and personally I have to say this feels good.

As a side note, if you have taken up on the offer of the NPL to obtain a
copy of report that was mentioned a couple of weeks ago, it points out how
those of us 'techies' are tuned in, however upper management is not as tuned
in. And when you inform them and mention the timeline, it seems to them to
be something to worry about 'later'. Gosh your talking about 3 years down
the road! Yea, that's right! The deadline is 3 years down the road. Now is
the time to impress the significance of what this Lead-Free really means to
the industry.

Drop in?

Again, thanks to IPC for this forum (although sometimes I pull out the ole
soapbox) and more importantly thanks to the participants who share useful
information freely. And, Thanks to TI for the offer on the components, I
only wish I had the where-with-all to participate!
