A couple of questions regarding pressed-fit (such as a PEM) nuts in circuit boards. The specific fastener is for a #2-56 screw and is flush mounted in .062 FR4.

1. What is the typical reject rate?
2. Is there any effective rework should the hole be damaged upon pressing?
3. Is the minimum clearance for the press tooling to adjacent components sufficient or is additional clearance required?

Thanks,
Rick
