Hi Jim,

As far as I know, some bar solder manufacturers make a "high-purity" solder
bar as well as a "normal" bar. If you are running the "normal" bars, mixing
in a high purity bar probably wouldn't hurt. On the other hand, if you are
running "high purity" bars, and you add normal bars, you might be
contaminating your bath.

Hi all,

This might be a silly question, but I received some left over solder from a
customer that is made by a different manufacturer than what we use.  Both
solder bars are 63/37 and I want to know if you can mix solder from
different manufacturers, I'm not sure if manufacturers do anything
different
with their product or if any quality issues could arise.
