I am their Quality Control Coordinator,
Currently, I am endeavoring to use Powerway document control / document

both on the distribution side, and on the Value Added PC Board and

You are so right about the opinions of the people of the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys, their back was broken by the loss of industry in the 70's and 80's, and the mass exodus of jobs and people for the area.

We had Phar Mor start here, and even though the had the Mickey Monus scandal they are continuing to bounce back in a strong gutsy manner, whish shows it certainly was not just Monus' clever direction that was the real genius behind their current success!

I think it is high time for all out there to fight back, move back, take a risk, and reclaim their hometown. The way I figure it, our population that has gone out of the area, but still has roots here, and are like comets, planning eventually to swing on back home, like I have. When they do, the diversity of training, experience, and talents, they have been quietly gathering, will be used to create many new, successful, high tech companies, and bring in good paying jobs, not dependent on any one industry or mega-company. All it will take is a non corrupt government, kicking out the mob, which has been quietly sucking at the budgets of both the residents and the government here. The good news is that recently there has been a breakthrough in cleaning some of that up. The next thing we have to do is get Congressman Jim Traficant, to quit trying to bring more private prisons to Youngstown! Happily, the people have been very vocal about hosting another Community Corrections of America, facility, and I think he will back down, or we will probably boot him, at the next election, during the next Democratic primary. Hopefully, the focus will change, as we have economic turbolag here, we generally only begin to see a pickup in our total local economy about 10 month after the national economy begins to pick itself up and dust itself off, and at the slightest hint of national economic troubles, the our local economic conditions begin to worsen. All of this I can blame on the continued focus on the oldest, and most vulnerable industries, the steel and automotive manufacturing industries.

Well, enough of getting that off of my chest, tell me more about what you do for PPG? I have always used their paint and products on my used Chrysler and Dodge cars, and vans. Do they produce electronics too?

Regards,

Hi Ron,

I don't know you, but I did live in Ytn. for a couple of years while workiing for Electrochemicals. I still miss that area, altho I am only down in Pittsburgh with PPG. I still go up there regularly to get my hair cut and visit good friends. You are so right about how friendly the people are!
I also really like the long, wide, Straight roads. Pittsburgh is a world of
difference (hills, winding roads, not as friendly people, etc.) for being
only an hour away. The interesting thing I found about that area is what a low opinion the people who live there have of thir town (but would Never move). I would move back in a heartbeat if there was a company to move to. Who DO
you work for and where are they located?
