I am awaiting for a copy of the new draft WEEE directive to be mailed to me.
It is my understanding it does not change anything as regards the date (2004) or
the regulations concerning elimination of lead.

I was told on Monday by a very reliable source that a new draft was
released ob 12 July but only lucky or unlucky people have seen
it. For a number of reasons we should try and get a copy as soon as
possible !!!!
