Dear lead-free community

The IDEALS project comprised 6 European organisations led by Marconi Materials
Technology, Caswell, UK and set out to establish:

1) production-ready PROCESSES for lead-free soldering and

2) the reliability of lead-free assemblies.

This we have done to a certain point - but I do not want to give the impression
we know it all, we do not and we are continuing our activities.

We will be publishing more, including real reliability data, in the next few
months and I'll use this forum to publicize papers as they appear.  Depending
