They sell a 32 AWG (and probably other sizes) Teflon/Kynar? insulated wire
which has a coating of thermoplastic. The idea is to "tack" the wire by
melting the coating with a solder tip. They also sell a fairly inexpensive
iron and tip designed for the purpose. The coating melts easily, and it
forms a strong bead under the wire without melting the insulation. The wire
can be neatly routed and held in the desired pattern on the board. You can
also run the iron down the whole length of the wire and produce a very
secure attachment.

With practice, the routing and security of the wire is much better than any
other technique I have tried with hotmelt or cyanoacrylate, and in the long
run, cheaper too.
