You did not say what you were inspecting.
At the old Bell System, Bell Labs did a study on solder joint inspection
using 4 people (2 inspector trainers, 2 line inspectors) to inspect the
solder joints of 4 assemblies (actually, they inspected 2 assemblies twice,
but did not know this). The results were rather revealing: the best agreement
of these double inspections for any one of these four was no better than 44%,
the agreement for the 4 inspectors was a paltry 6%.
Sure tells you volumes about the effectiveness of manual inspection! spend
your resources elsewhere more effectively.
